File Folder Games

For the last little while Alex and I have been taking his preschool book to pieces and making file folder games. We're getting a pretty good collection now. This is the one we made today for the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock.

It's almost been a year that I have been watching Kiara. My goodness, she has grown!!

Letter Love

The kids all woke up early from nap today... well, let's be honest. Josh woke up early and cried which woke up everyone else. Sorry, everybody! We did the alphabet cards while we waited for parents. The kids use these as part of preschool but they're fun to just spread out and toss around too.

Play dough

We had a play dough morning. The boys made pizzas, beads, snakes, and lots of other shapes. We were supposed to paint for art today but we were having so much fun we skipped the art time.

Book Read

After lunch we have about half an hour before we go down for a nap. This is a tough spot of time to fill because the boys are pretty much hyper. They want to play but the playroom is cleaned before lunch. The hardest part is finding something engaging enough to keep them busy until the girls are changed ready for nap but boring enough that anyone left at the table doesn't quit eating before they're full just to join in. Toughie, I know!! My Alex had the idea for a book read. I pulled out their couch, Elmo chair, Thomas chair and some books and let the kids go to town. It worked! The boys were quiet and engaged while I diapered and cuddled with Ava and Kiara. That boy is a genius!

Around the house today

Bella was loving the sewing machine! I took it out to shorten Josh's jammies and long sleeved shirts for summer. Bella kept repeating "Make Josh Cuuuute?" "Make Josh cuuute?" Yes Bella. I am making Joshs clothes cute.




Yay for Summer! We finally get to break out the sand box! Sweet!






We made fans for our art projects today.

Happy Birthday Sarah

If you haven't gotten the chance to meet Sarah you have missed out. This is Matt's cousin and we LOVE her! She comes and hangs out at our house a few times a month. She is really, really sweet and loves to play with kids. Here she is reading story after story to the critters.
Yesterday was her birthday and we had a little party. We had cupcakes and sang to her. I have never met a kid who doesn't adore her.
